You know how we love the Honda Ridgeline. For those looking for something a bit different—and don’t mind spending a few extra bucks—Honda offers their top-o-the-line Ridgeline Black Edition.
What makes it so special? Lots of blackness. It basically takes the $41,470 RTL-E model and adds blacked-out wheels, trim and leather. Why spend the extra $1500 for the Black Edition? …

They should have blacked out the grill. then it would really be black.
If trucks were women, 90 percent of them would be wannabe Dolly Partons, and the Ridgeline's the quiet gal in the corner who's too damn sensible to get many dates. I'm afraid that the black paint doesn't quite raise her to "hot for teacher" status.

Its a black chrome, so it's 'mostly' blacked out.

So, Honda is like the 4th car company that is offering a "black" or "midnight" or whatever edition this year. Apparently these guys all got on the "murdered out" bandwagon less than a decade after it was actually trendy, haha....

I don't know, Mercury did it in 2004. I have a hard time thinking of Mercury as a trend setter, but the proof is out there.

It looks just as hideous in Black as it does in white. I don't care how good of a vehicle it may be it's too ugly to own. I would buy a first gen in a heartbeat over that catastrophe.
Losing the buttresses on the back of the cab and making it look more like a traditional truck bed cleans up the look quite a bit. If I was in the market for a new truck, it could replace my Frontier with ease.

I disagree. More like terminal blandness. No sense of style to it. Funny how the first gen has aged well. Originally it was savaged for its looks as much as it's lack of propper body-on-frame construction. Now that design has a certain jauntiness about it. This one makes me want to give it a nose job, widen the stance and add flares - would help big time.
