Some interesting tidbits can be gleaned from the link:
In spite of going "green", China will remain the world's worst polluter for the foreseeable future - that means a long, long, long time.
750,000 Chinese die every year from causes directly-attributed to environmental issues.
China has focused on "clean-coal" technology, while the concept has been virtually abandoned by the US. Costs and political interference are cited as the main barriers to US development of the processes.
China will make green-tech work because the government will stifle any dissent and will do what it damn well wants to make it work.
