    That sounds like a pretty good price. My and my dad got a free 944, and my dad ended up putting about 5K in it, with a new ($2500) paint job. It runs fantastic now, but damn those maintenance parts are expensive. Its definitely fun to drive though!

    Sounds like you got a nice score, I wish ours was turbo! Not just for the turbo but for all the extra bits that go with it like the better trans, suspension etc etc. I hope you enjoy!

    There seems to be a glut of cheap 944s locally. There's one with a blown motor local on craigslist for $750 IIRC and a couple decent drivers for under $1500. L

    Hmmm, if that $750 car is straight and you've got a few spare weekends, i smell a powertrain swap....

    Yep except I want a 951 or an s2. Not a NA car.
