Naturally, I'll suggest an LS1.

Exactly. Don't skimp, it's a Ferrari. Go for the LS11.

Sounds like a perfect project car. GRM Ferrari-simply ridiculous, how can you pass that up?

Note to self: buy Ferrari, re-centre steering wheel.

But seriously, GRM: you gotta go for this. Maybe a contest to see which lucky reader's engine gets installed? Big photo op when the Edsel wagon shows up in the winner's driveway to haul it away? Match race with Elvis when the installation is finished? And the opportunities to cross-market with CM are breathtaking. The sky's the limit here!

Ok, I'll be the dissenter and say that this particular Ferrari is fugly and I can think of a lot better cars to spend $4500+ on to get back on the road.

Flame away, my fire suit is well cooled by 9 Miller lights right now.

Make that 10........

+1. That thing is a hot mess. $4500 is 'real car' money.

The last time I was tempted by something like this, I wanted to slap a 3000GT VR-4 motor in it with an 3000SL trans.
