Does anyone know if the AC compressors on the Toyota 4A-series have removable pulleys? If I can put the pulley from a 4AGE compressor on a 4AFE compressor it could save a lot of work and parts searching.

Yeah, they come off. You need some really good ring pliers thingies. And, there's a spec on the correct amount of "pull in" that the clutch is supposed to have, which you set with shims.
Thanks, should make the swap much easier. I saw someone doing a similar swap online saying that the 4AF(E) AC hose would get in the way of the 4AGE's distributor, but looking at the two cars side by side it looks like there's plenty of clearance. I just hope it won't get in the way of aftermarket headers.
