You could get a decent Callaway Twin Turbo for only $5K if the auction stays low.

Photos of Italian timing belts give me the creeps.

I wouldn't count on it going for less than $14-17k

Not cheap, but pretty cool.
230hp....I wonder if anything's been done to beefen up the transaxle.

Which would have been SICK for $5k, even if it wasn't running.

Ebay auction guy says:
Q: if this gtv is low $7000 please contact me i will buy.
A: If I want to give the car away, I will do so to a charity so I can at least get a tax deduction! That would be a NO for your answer.I am not thinking he will sell it for $5k

What do people think they are accomplishing by replys like that? Not that i even have $7k, but if I was considering bidding on that and I saw that comment, id look for a different one. I dont want to buy a car that has been driven by someone like that. lol

The story behind the Calloway GTV6 is pretty interesting, but keeping it very short here, it's the first Calloway modified car. Don't know the total numbers, but it's the #1 desireable GTV6 in the US.
The Alfa Owner had a really good article about it a while ago.

Here is the rub, it's not a REAL Callaway, if it goes for under $10K it will be bought "right" but I see at most a $7500.00 car with all the Callaway bits.
Nice car, too bat the original car was rusted.

The mix and mach parts on there are interesting, like BMW AFMs and such. I have an add I cut out of a mag when those were new on my desk at home. Very cool.

I don't think the transaxle was modified.

I've seen this car in person as well. I've driven the car that was originally the Calaway this one's tasty bits came out of (after the engine and parts swap was done). In fact, someone who reads this board bought that car after I posted a link. I'm still sory I didn't buy it, it wasn't that rusty...
