Is this a real Group 44 car?

    Or is it just overpriced?

I think group 44 came after the TR4s. I'm thinking Tullius was a driver for Kastner's factory-backed team in the days of the early TR4 - which makes this one something like 20k overpriced.

I didn't see anywhere that it claimed to be a Group 44 car. Doesn't even look like one.

Shoot. He has a 1895 K5 blazer for $15k as well.

Yeah I know it is missing the stripes but it is white and has a 44 on the side.

Yeah, it is overpriced by a bit. Hard to tell from the information, but it seems like it is yet another SVRA overprepared-not-really-a-vintage-racecar. The price may have more with what it cost to build than what it is worth.

    Kind of like this one:

    I'm pretty sure Tullius ran a TR5/250, but not a TR4

Says "Raced since new......" This sounds like a George Washington axe car with no real provenance.

The seller better have Mr. Noyes & Mr. Battles' logbooks with the paperwork. Otherwise, there's no provenance.

"Because the PO said so" ain't worth $55K. If it's not a real Gp. 44 car, you can take $30K off that price. And really..if the seller can't prove that it's really a Gp.44 car as they're asking for so much, they're not someone you want to do business with in the first place.

Agree on the surcharge. For the rest I guess I'll have to watch the show next week - 10/25 to find out. According to the trailers I saw that car is to be featured.
