Tom, that was a very impressive run. You handled the lack of grip beautifully. If they weren't getting warm at all, then you probably should have dropped a few pounds out of them, like maybe down to 10. I know racing slicks go down that low sometimes on FF cars. I'll bet you can't wait to get those slicks, huh?

Thanks for the info Keith, car felt very skatey at both ends of the pressures used-too be honest with all that was going I didn't notice a difference between them.I simply left it at the 25lbs after bumping it up and focused on driving the car.The lack of heat was so obvious I didn't even pull the pyrometer out its case. Thanks jstein,I picked up a set of used keizers on the weekend for next years tires-just need to settle on the brand.I only run on asphalt so I need a very soft compound to work I think, not sure which of the R25b hoosiers, the R160 goodyear or one of the soft hill climb compounds from Avon are the way to go.

1st autox yesterday, very little grip from the 710's with a pressure range from 15 to 25psi.Tires barely warm to the touch after a run and no stone/grit retention.
Per, I think this thing accelerates harder than the LeGrand. Very nice work, kevlarcorolla!

In reply to Jensenman: Thanks, not sure how Per has his geared but I'm down at least 25hp to him and I think I'm heavier to boot. Those poor 710's spun all the way thru 1st even though I was actually trying to peddle it somewhat, with the tires on it its geared for a right around 120mph and with the 20" slicks for next year it should be 115mph.

A fellow competitor snapped this at the last event, even colder than the 1st event.Car was ok and set ftd by about 3 seconds on the hockey pucks.
