What'dya think, any potential here? How hard are these motors to work on and find parts for?

There's always potential in just about any car. If memory serves, stock motor in a non-SE-R is a CA16, which isn't anything to write home about, but it seems like it wouldn't be too much work at all to swap in the SR20DE from a G20 and have a fun little wagon.

I was getting into the back seat of a friends 86 sentra wagon in high school. I used to grab the B pillar to help me get in the pack because there wasn't a grab handle. All was well until the person in the front seat slammed the front door while my hand was still wrapped around the pillar. It might have been a tin crap box, but that still hurt like hell.

My 84 2 door has an E16. Definitely not the most powerful but they were great motors per mileage and reliabilitiy. I purposefully picked mine because of the pre- "hopeless, chokeless Hitachi" carb. The only electronics involved with it is a fuel cut and the choke stat. I know I'm an odd bird, but I wouldn't hesitate if you like it, know it's a light weight, and can work with that.
I'll already edit this.. HAD an E16, very heavy built SR20 going into it as it progresses..
Second edit.. I see now you're real close. I have a ton of parts from mine available if you end up needing something also.
