96 Altima alarm issue

Hey guys,

I have a friend that was just going through his sister-in-laws 96 Altima that has been sitting for 5 years. He put in a new battery, and now when he turns the ignition on the car starts beeping the horn like some sort of factory installed alarm. He says there is no key fob. Car won't start either as it seems to have some sort of kill switch with the alarm. Any ideas?

Try unlocking/locking the door with the key several times. This will usualyy reset an alarm.

Thanks, the drivers door lock was frozen from lack of use. Once it was freed up it fixed teh alarm issue. Thanks again.
