So a friend of mine recently bought a 64 MGB roadster, inspired by his brother in laws Alfa spyder. Now I'm looking at older neat and interesting European cars. And living in Arizona those that are here are almost always rust free, often totally rust free.... Like this 1953 Citroen. I don't have the space for a project or the superpowers needed to protect myself from SWMBO if it were to show up in the driveway.

Since I'm not gonna buy it I figured I would tempt you guys with it.

Last I looked a decent driver Traction Avant was around $10k. That one seems overpriced for the work it needs.

I don't know of these prices are reasonable or over priced. I'm not really in the market, I've never seen one of those Citroens before, under 10k for a functional driving example seems like a deal for a unique older car. But that's from a person that doesn't follow vintage car markets, just wants one eventually.

A neat car, but not a rare one. My Hagerty Price Guide says 9100 for a #4 and 46,800 for a #1. These have huge following in Europe so parts are available. I've seen a few articles about people driving them across Huge expanses of the Earth just for fun.

One day I will own a traction avant. After I buy a ds. hopefully their values don't skyrocket before I can afford one.
