I want a small air compressor solely for the purpose of filling tires. Tiny ones put out 1 SCFM @ 40 psi.

That doesn't sound like a lot, but "lot" is relative. Just for hypothetical poops and grins, how many cubic feet of air would it take to take a 195/70R14 from 25 to 35psi?

I don't want to wait 6 minutes or something to accomplish that.

TIA Evan

If you're looking for something to use at the track, get one of these and stop at a gas station on the way.

They're fast. And quiet, too.

Back in the old days,we mounted a larger tank on the car hauler and ran a line from the air conditioning compressor to the tank to refill it. It would only work when the air was turned on and the hauler was running, but it worked great for filling tires and running the impact. Of course we didn't need air conditioning and it didn't work(other than the compressor) anyways.

Non-mathematical answer: It seems like they'd take about 3 minutes or so based on my experience with the little compressors. They're pretty slow.
