Belive it, the Abarth is one of the 500 models on it's way to the States.
My questions are if it will experience weight gain to meet US crash standards and what kind of Abarth(s) will be available here.
There's two versions of the 500 Abarth. The regular Abarth makes 130hp. The Abarth EsseEsse (Italian for SS) is a kit that comes in a wooden crate, is applied by the dealer to a standard 500 Abarth, and makes 160hp. The customer gets to crack open and keep the crate as a memento, a nod to Abarth hop-up kits of the past. I hope that tradition gets introduced to the States; an Abarth crate would be a great place to store parts or make an interesing conversation piece in the Garage-Mahal.

Saw the Top Gear where they tested the Abarth. I would DEFINITELY drive one!
