Hey All,
Working on a '99 Windstar with a lit ABS light. I'm thinking a wheel sensor might be bad. Has anyone figured out a way to test the sensors with a VOM or some other method to find the faulty one?

My manual for my GMC gave a range, maybe check both & see if there is a wide variation ?

Earlier sensors can be checked by resistance. Lots of newer ones actually generate a milliamperage signal, which is a whole new kettle of fish. Just check the resistance on all of them, and the different one will be bad. If you can find a decent scanner, you can watch the wheel speeds on it.
What you will likely find are broken wires on one of the front wheels. Give a little tug where they bend.

FYI, it is also possible for one or more wheel speed sensor to be out of adjustment as in the gap between the sensor and tone ring is off and therefore affecting the reading, most manuals should tell you how to adjust the air gap if that is the case, you would need non magnetic feleler gauge ala brass to do so.
