In our family we used up something like 16 of these old Civics starting with the first one bought new in 1974 and ending with my last one that was retired in early 1994. Included in that group was at least one car for each of us four kids as we graduated to our own cars once we got our licenses (dad charged us $500 each, I went through four of them) and four ice race cars (NYSIRA/AMEC).

I coulda swore that every one of those old Civics made had rusted into oblivion by now, but every once in a while I see a picture of one that hasn't yet found that fate (YET). Nice job keeping a forgotten old crock on the road.

Bored of Civics, but the CVCC is awesome. I never thought that they could look cool, that one certainly does.

Hey Quickdodge, I mean qdseeker. You wouldn't happen to know of any other 1st-gen civics for sale would you? Preferably around the Atlanta area?

Love the wheels, the stance, etc. I would probably ditch the luggage rack if it was mine but you'd probably need to repaint the top when that's done. Possibly try to smooth the paint down a little but that's a maybe.

    Nice!

Love these early Civics. I see them pop up for sale from time to time, but they're always automatics for some reason.

Is the air dam fiberglass? Done using a form? Very nice. I'd like to learn to make one like that!

^^^ Yes it is fiberglass. I have no idea how he made it, either.

To everyone else, thank you, very much, for all your compliments. It is appreciated.

the closest Ive ever come to a civic like that was a buddy who bought a VERY old running example for $100 - it sported something like a 800cc motor and gearbox out of a bike and the manual shifter poked through the dash rather than the floor - back then I didnt appreciate cars as much as I do now - wish I coulda gotten a closer look. Both he and the car went to florida about 9 years ago now and I havent heard much since.

^^^ That would be the Honda N600. The "predecessor" to the Civic. It's last year was 1972, I believe.
