autocross on dirt, except you'll be at the venue twice as long and get about ten times as much seat time. And it's not about your best run, it's about the times from the total of all your runs, so consistency is key rather than just putting together one perfect run.

    Rally America

Let me point out that there is a 100 mile race in Missouri. That shouldn't be THAT far from you.

Its more like 4 times the seat time of Autox. It's awesome. Do it.

not if you've been autocrossing with CDC and BMWCCA, lol with a bunch of 30-40 second courses!

Like autocross, RallyCross varies in some rather significant ways from region to region. Typical course length and 'character', number of runs, average number of entrants, organizational efficiency, regional supplemental rules, etc. are different everywhere you go.

The biggest variation, which isn't always obvious to new people, is the actual racing surface. Every site is different.

All you need to know about RallyCross of the cone squishing variety is where the next one near you is and that you need to be there to see for yourself if it's something that you'll enjoy.

I'm already planning on buying my daughter's Impreza wagon from her when she's done with it.
