One of our club members, last year's track driving champion, Liam Dwyer, re-enlisted in the Marines and was sent to Afghanistan. He was wounded by an IED and lost his left leg above the knee. He's at Bethesda Naval hospital facing alot of surgery. We were having a track day at Lime Rock Thursday, and knew he would appreciate being able to keep up with events. With the co-operation of Lime Rock, and a couple of techies within the club, we streamed video from the event, and he was able to watch it from his hospital room. We even got local news coverage http://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/Wounded_Soldier_Hartford-124452959.html We know Liam will be back with us as soon as possible. I just think it's amazing what you can do with a computer, and what a group of different people can do when they put their minds together.
