I too think a C5 will outperform a TC. No doubt about it.
We, the wife and I, had warranty work done on our brandy spanking new Terrain (bushing squeak when suspension compressed).
There I used the terms properly.
That said, I was only tossing out a decent example of a new car that performs well for less than what the newyobaru concoction is supposedly going to run. Others started saying that my example wasnt valid compared to car X. I said "yes it is, and heres why...". No hating going on here. The "HP vs Handling, why not choose both?" debate has been beaten to death. Im not really willing to shell out the coin for both in a new car, so Im willing to accept Handling > HP for the money Id be willing to spend...on a new car. Sure a vette or a stang, or a STI, or a G8 GXP, or any other higher HP sports car would be great, but theres no way I can swing one new, and we werent debating used cars. If Im going to spend my play money on a used car, Im going for whatever gives the best balance of performance under the hood, and at the corners, with a dose of "what can I hop up easily and reliably" on the side. Often times handling wins out. Thats my stance.
