I think it's a trick. Let's see what they have to say about it during the next episode.

Yea when the black stig came forward, i forget who now, but he said there were multiple stigs in the white suit. I bet it's just a bunch of F1 drivers who rotate. I'm sure Hamilton has been it before, besides being british, did you see the African episode?

The Stig is mostly Ben Collins, with a few ringers thrown in for special occasions.

I felt the same way when I found out that SNL's "Pat" was actually a woman. I know, I know, but I was in grade school. I didnt know.

No, I've went and watched The Hangover like 3 times in the past week because it cracks me up that much for some reason.

I find it funny that people actually think Mr. Schumacher is the full time Stig....like the Beeb could afford him.

He certainly could move his FXX around the test track though...JEEZ that was fast.

If you look at the end credits it says "JC, RH, JM, Stig, Special Guest Michael Schumacher." It was just a cool way of introducing him as the star in a incredibly expensive and rare car segment.

DAMN that man was fast in that thing!

It would be way more interesting if Stig had also taken laps in the car.

Of course, that could blow the whole Stig stigma and explain why he's anonynmous and not an employed racing driver.

well if you notice in the closing credits, it says the cast including the Stig, then it says "Special Guest - Michael Scumacher" so one would assume he just put the costume on for the show... but then again, who knows...

Edit: Whoops, read some earlier posts, kind of a repost...

Well didn't they used to have pro touring car drivers come in and try to beat Stig's time, and nobody did it?

I call BS as well. If you get on Youtube, there is a video of a swedish show covering Top Gear, they interview the Stig, in full white Stig regalia and he has an English accent.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw the Times UK article.

Shumie also took slightly different lines through the course than the regular Stig does.
