Hey guys, I can't find the info online, but I'm thinking about picking up an early 90s suby legacy, the only thing it lacks is a roof rack. I figure that roof racks should be plentiful around here in junk yard, but I was wondering if any of you guys have ever added one to a car that didn't have one and what was involved.

    Thanks!

I have the factory rack on my late 90s Legacy wagon, if that helps. I didn't install it, but generally speaking it just screws into the roof.

That's pretty much what I was expecting, drill some holes into the roof :)

yakima most likely has you covered if you can't find a factory roof rack.

You may have to take out the headliner (at least in the Protege5 you do), as the Mazda one uses reinforcements under the skin to ensure you don't pull through...
