Anyone speak MINI wheel sizes

I have been pursuing wheels from a MINI as a way to keep the tires tucked under the MOLVO sheet metal.

I have one prospective vendor for these wheels, however, the concept of backspacing as designated by "ET" does not seem to apply to the rims in question.

Anyone recognize or able to translate this? I want them to be as high as a 48ET.

Thank you. I will lock them down then.  If the 48 ET should turn out to be too much, I can always space them out. They don't need to have run flat tires or anything like that do they?

They don't need to use run-flats, no. In fact it's a common ride improvement to switch to non-run flats on MINIs.

and if I read correctly the Miata center-bore is 54.1mm and the Mini is 56.1mm so with a set of rings I should be good to go.

there is a local guy with a set of thoes on a NA miata. 

You probably won't need the rings, but if you do they'll have to be machined and only be 1mm thick. Or, check the hub area to see if you could machine out the center to accept standard wheel rings. I've driven my Miata without centering rings and no detrimental behavior, so I'd just bolt the wheels on and go.  

I don't expect you'll have any offset issues, but I could put one of my MINI wheels on the Challenge Miata to se if you would like.

Going to roll the dice an pick them up on Saturday.
