I ran my '68 Cortina in D Street Prepared for a number of years in the 90's, but kind of ran out of time and haven't run it since 2003. The last tires I bought for it were 008RSII Yokohama, which are of course crispy critters now.

What is available now? I haven't located any 185 60 13 DOT race tires.

I recently resurected the car by rebuilding the carbs and rebuilding the front end with plans to use it once again as a daily driver. I would also like to resume autocrossing it.

I don't think you'll be able to find anything that narrow. I know some of the Miata autocrossers get really wide 13" rubber, though. How wide can you go before clearance issues raise their ugly heads?

Toyo has an R888 in that size. It'll work fine.

    In reply to 850Combat:

Yokohama should also have a tire in that size unless things have changed.

I looked on tirerack.com and didn't see any 13 or 14-inch sizes for the A048.

Doh, that's right, when they got rid of the A032's they decided to neuter all of their small sizes :(

I have a set of brand new A032 205/60R13 that I could pass along maybe... (might be the 185 size, I forget).

Once upon a time, I saw nationally competitive CRX Si's running with 215/50-13's squeezed on stock 5" Honda alloys.

With an extra 1/2" to play with (and a good mounting source), Hoosier and Kumho both have tires you might look at.
