Here in Florida, our January autocrosses are frequently the best weather we have the whole year, and today was a prime example of that. Early morning temperatures around 50 quickly warmed to the low 70's with brilliantly blue skies all day. Course designers Chuck and Kelly designed a really fast course that was pretty challenging to stay clean on (more on that later). I had just purchased a pair of new Hankook C71's for the front, and they were really sticking well today. The turbo was pulling like a train, so the whole day just clicked for me. I'm pretty proud of the fact that I dragged an AC-equipped street car with the full factory interior to third on the PAX index despite the tough Street Mod Front correction factor. Results are here. I would have got second on the index on my final run if not for nicking a cone. Oh, well - I'm still very pleased to be in the top 5 for the first time in my new car.
