Well. we've had our '09 Fit Sport just under a year, and the 38,000mi we've put on it have been great. Unfortunately, now it's time for new tires, and the OE-size 185/55/16 seem to be a real oddball(Tire Rack only shows the OE tires, no others to choose from).

What I really want is a true 4-season tire(like the Nokian WR G2 and/or Continental DWS mentioned here). The Continental is available in a 195/50/16, which I figure is the closest "normal" size I can find(although I've heard they're on national backorder, Tire Rack shows they are available though). The Nokians are only available in a 195/55/16, and I'm concerned about fitment issues if I go much larger in width and/or diameter.

I've searched high & low online, and also stopped in 6-tire dealers yesterday, but those are really the only two options I found. Do any of you have any other tire/size suggestions?

205/50-16 should be fine. How wide are the wheels?

yup 205/50/16 will be a nice upgrade. If the wheels are 6.5" or 7" they will fit great. Any one had 205s on 6" wheels?

The suggested wheel width range for all the 205/50/R16 tires include 6" so it will work great, be a whopping 1mm larger in diameter, and 20mm wider.

I have a set of 215/60/14 on a set of BMW bottle caps, I believe they are 6" wide.

They aren't currently on anything and those tires were on the wheels when I got them, but they fit.

Plug your values into this website and it should give you a visual and quatitative representation of the difference.

I a-xed my Integra with the OEM wheels (6") and 205-50's (15's not 16's) though the fit should be ~the same... didn't have any problems
