OK, I left my motorcycle trickle charger on all winter on the 6 volt setting, not 12 volt. Will that damage anything? My electrical knowledge is limited, but my gut tells me that charging a 6 volt battery on 12V is bad but charging a 12V on 6V shouldn’t be a problem. The bike started right up. This is a battery tender style charger, hardwired with a quick disconnect.

Charging a 12V battery on 6V shouldn't even charge so the battery might feel a little flat.

Nah. With electrics, less load is always better than more load.
