Just an homage to all the turbo Honda drivers who bring those Honda's to the challenge.

Yeah, that was Lynn Wilson, he co-drove my miata last year in one of our fun events... he has since moved onto formula vees, but he is nontheless a wealth of knowledge...
he is over at sccaforums.com more often than not.
The question we need to be asking ourselves is:
When you overboost and kill the motor, will an LS fit in its place?
or better yet, will the SL65 Black motor/tranny fit in his place so you can make a baby slr?

I think it'd be more fun to make similar power for about 1/8th the price of the motor / trans package found in an AMG Black type SL65. Plus the LSx would probably pull better mileage with less weight added.
ahh, but a C265AMG Black could run in Street Mod...

I worked a corner with Lynn 4 or 5 years back at a Regional event when he was regularly auto-xing his Mercedes. IIRC he didn't like it and didn't feel it was competitive.
That is correct. :)
it wasn't an AWD rally car!
I seems like any "is this going to be reliable" type threads end with, "well, will an LS series engine fit?"
I love it, because that way I don't have to say it.
When my Dad cringed at me buying a yurappean car (JDs tbrick) I pacified him by saying "There is a new pick and pull junkyard in town, engines go for $250, anything that turns the driveshaft thataway ::motioning:: will work and fit.
That's the way I would approach it. It is easy to make a car run like you want, a lot tougher to get it to look like you want.
