How much boost will will a stock motor take I have a t4 turbo. I am planning on intalling megasquirt to get rid of the optispark setup. I was wanting to boost around 8 psi with a front mount intercooler also.

It is from a 96 firebird with alm heads. 10:1 comp.

All LT1s had hypereuectic (sp?) pistons. They have a tendency to shatter with boost, especially if the tuning isn't good. I would keep the boost low.

The engine I want to boost makes 365 hp to ground. I just want 500 hp to make my challange car into super car teritory.
