Just bought a spiral-bound copy of the Muir book on ebay. GRM reading recommendations have never done me wrong!

Now I'm itching for an AC VW. Just seems like one of those "right of passage" cars, that a self-confessed enthusiast ought to try.

The point, valve adjustment is what was part of a tune up. Done every few thousand miles along with an oil change and cleaning of the inlet screen. . Oh, lets not forget retorqueing the heads.

In our Super Modified ice racing class we have turbo charged Type 1 in a Buggy. It gives the V8 cars fits.

    Warning random thought to follow----

I would love an exo car based on a type four engine flipped like a formula vee. I would even keep the front end. Light and simple.

    In reply to Trans_Maro:

The easy fix is to run a '69 or later car with the IRS transaxel. The difficult fix is to convert to IRS.
