currently in transit to pick up an 82 datsun 910 wagon, but I thought id share... picked this up this morning, am crazy stoked... 73 240z, say in this guys garage for last 10 years, supposedly ran great when parked, minimal rust, original.

ive got a set of formula mesh ssrs that will most likely find there way on the car but... wtf kind of wheels are these? mesh 2peice design, polished (not so much anymore) lip and center caps have caroll shelby's name all over them... i beleave them to be 14x7, maybe +15 or +25, running 225s

just curious, they don't look bad, and may keep them on there, but wondering if the old man actually made these and are they rare

They look like the standard 4-hole painted steel wheels that came on many heavy-duty utility trucks.

Uh, Carroll Shelby wheels. Really.

He had his own brand back in the lates 70s/early 80s. I had a little pocket catalog and tried to afford those exact wheels for my first Fiesta in 1985. Could never come up with the coin on my meager right-out-of-high school income. They look real similar to American Racing's of the same vintage but I'm pretty certain they are not the same.

Shelby made a ton of wheels back in the day. You find a lot of them on Saabs, weirdly enough, but they made other styles too.

Yep, he's right. I worked for a Saab dealer for six years and forgot all about those being an option. We sold quite a few of them.

thanx, will get more pics of car if imtrested, im suprised this car even exists, all original, minimal rust and some cool extras... has factory installed ac, didn't know was an option, but has buttercream interior in decent shape
