Ok read about how the search function is down, and tried the google work around. No real joy on finding apps for car stuff.

I'm thinking something like dynolicious but really some sort of obd11 reader app. I don't even have the smartphone yet, so any thoughts on finding cool car apps for either android or iphone/ipad?

On a related topic, we have started featuring an app in each issue. If there's ones we should check out, let me know.

The Innovate OT-2 communicates with an iThing via a pet WiFi network. It'll show real-time "greenness" of your driving, but it'll also do real time display and logging of OBD-II parameters as well as the more mundane clearing of codes. That's probably what Taiden was thinking of. I've got one, works pretty well.

Torque on the Androids coupled with a $15 Bluetooth OBDII adapter is as capable as a several-hundred dollar Actron scanner.
