So my first day of vacation was spent trying to get the Audi Coupe GT started again. As you may have guessed it did not play nice and refuses to run on anything other than the Cold Start Valve!
The engine is a 2.2 lire I-5 with KE-Jetronic mechanical injection. I have been beating my head against a proverbial wall for a year on this thing and it just wont run for me.
I went over the gas lines, and no leaks. I went back over the Intake boot, took it right off and put it back on, cleaned out the inside of it while I was there. checked the 'Y' hose to ensure that I had that in right and still nothing! I replaced all the vacuum lines last year so they are all new, aside from the one that goes out the front passenger side fender which is just a breather tube anyway. The only thing I have not done yet is pour injector cleaner down its throat with a few gallons of gas to get it running.
Other than that I got the brake lights working but found out that the rear taillights don't work. I am hoping this is just because the car isn't running. The bulbs for the taillights dont seem to fit well. They are not snug fitting like the others. So I added some dilithium grease to them but still no go. Anyway who needs night lights in the rear right? I mean as long as the brake lights work then you pass the track safety! LOL
Anyway, thought ideas on what to do about the car not running on its own? How about the rear tail lights?
