Very cool. That car sounds stupendous on accel, terrible on the overrun. It sounds like there are some teeth missing on the ring gear. Not that I'd kick it out of bed or anything.....

Is it powered by a air cooled v-twin? Sounds like a Harley powered car.

I was sad to never hear the tires make any indication that they were even there. I am glad it happened, but if they had stuck with more classic shots and less Jay I would have liked it more.

to me, that sounded vaguely like the car backfiring on overrun, but then again I've never driven or heard a car with a ring gear missing teeth, so I don't know what that sounds like. it looked like one hell of a nice road, though...

As a side note, if anyone remembers the original Gone in Sixty Seconds, they filmed all those scenes without closing off any roads to getting any permission. Those people running out of the path of the cars are just regular people out for a walk. Same with the traffic. And the newsman interviews people who have no idea that what they just saw was part of a movie. The train wreck at the beginning of the movie wasn't originally in the plans; it just happened and they went over the film it, then just left it in. Most of it was just driving through the city and obviously highly illegal. They did it on Sundays, when they knew the dude who kept an eye on such mischief wasn't on the job. That Cadillac dealership they wreck into wasn't in cahoots with the movie, either. H.B. Halicki had to buy all those damaged cars from the dealership when they found out what happened. One last thing; that accident where Halicki spins Eleanor and hits the pole was a real accident. When he regained consciousness, he simply asked if they got it on film. Classic low-budget movie
