All I know is that if I was selling a car where it's biggest selling point was the supercharger, I'd take a picture of it.
Legit. Probably a lot of deffered maintenance combined with plummeting resale value because decade old euro car.
Yup. That's about what they should be going for with deferred maintenance and likely electrical gremlins. I've personally always been drawn to the xj-r of the late 90s, but am terrified of that rabbit hole.

I'm always bemused by ads that say it just needs one cheap and easy fix. If it is so cheap and easy, why not go ahead and do it so it isn't an issue in the sale?

Damn, Woody. You should have told me. There is/was a Europa S2 for $2500 on the east coast. Looked pretty good and came with lots of extra stuff.

I'd prefer a Twin Cam just for the body. An S2 would have to be really, really cheap.

Was about to comment on that. Very noticeable difference color from the door to the front fender. Still for the price, if it's been fixed well it could still be a bargain. It's not far away from haggling into challenge money.

Playing devil's advocate here: many car owners are to lazy/stupid/disinterested to go find a reasonably priced independent specialist, so they just go off the dealer quote of $350 to replace one coil, and say screw it, not again! I'm selling this piggy.

Then there are often the ones that say "needs engine" and it turns out to be a crank sensor or the like. Not as common as the reverse unfortunately.
I have been shopping these hard for a year or so. That is a eight k car all day long even with the need of a motor mount. Unless the owner is completely clueless I would say scam.
The phone number matches the location (Orlando). If I was looking for a Jag, (GOD HELP ME,) I would at least try a phone call.
