Lots of information here: V8 RX-7 forum

As Rex noted, I have been enjoying mine, though I have not driven it truly in anger yet. I do know that full throttle bursts are borderline scary, given the capabilities of the motor.

I always liked the looks of these F-body rebody kits from K=1 Styling:

Until Mitsu stole it for the last gen Eclipse. You could slip an LSx in there easy-peasy. Not very GRM tho, as i'm sure its not light and it keeps all the F-body underpinnings...

My recipe for non-cookie cutter goodness........hope to do this someday after the current batch of projects are done:

    • Take 1 Miata
    • Sprinkle in FM bits to gently fold in 1 LSx and associated extras to support the swap (ie., rear, brakes)
    • Coat in One of these

Enjoy performance and stares and questions of "Whatizzat?" every time you gas up!

What kind of tire sizes can you throw under stock rolled/pulled/flared fenders on an FC?

Differential up to the task of a 400HP/TQ V8?

Part of me wants to just buy what was wrapped around the LS1 to begin with and start there. Thankfully I'm in no hurry, this project is only in the research/decision stages.

Decision on what platform and direction to go won't be til next year, with car/parts aqcuistion beginning late next year.

I think the Aston Martin look would also work for this "conversion" Actually it could be said that Aston kit makes it look more like an S2000. The Italia design isn't bad, IMHO though.
