Width obviously as we know does have to do with tread width. Contact patch length actually has a greater influence on grip than does width, but it is much easier to increase width, so that's what we do.
I have the original Z06 width tires on my c4. Squirmy is a great description. Its work to keep this thing straight and out of the ruts on any road.I have yet to find new 295 35 18's under $300. But they do make blizzak snow tires in that size
