This car just popped up locally. I don't know they car, but it seems interesting. Thoughts on the mods and price ($3500)?

The car is a base 1992, no PS no AC. I really would like to sell the car as a package for convenience sake. If you buy the whole car, I will give you all of my extra material , all the aero bits, all the work-in-progress projects and stock parts. You can totally return the car to stock form and make a profit on it. I am moving out of town and I have to move onto different projects now that I have met my goals with this car.

It has about 13500 miles. Its still running strong. I believe at around 70-80k the timing belt was changed. It cranks strong.

The mods: Power/Drivertrain Fuji Racing Chromoly 8.3lbs flywheel RX-7 AFM, custom filter adaptor (tapered), electronically (i.e. resistor tuning) tuned for more top-end power Mazdaspeed spec miata exhaust Automatic transmission radiator (better cooling)

Suspension NB Tophats R package bilstein shocks 450/300lbs springs on ebay coilovers, ride height fully adjustable 99 Miata front sway bar Wheels: Set 1: 15x8 6ULs with 225 RS-3s, 1 hour of track time on them Set 2: 14x6 R-package hollow spoke wheels with 195 Falken Zeix 912s

Brakes 1994 1.8l front brakes, 1.6l rear brakes (the rear rotors are drilled/slotted). The rotors will need resurfacing soon. Included is: 1 full set of Hawk Blacks, 1 set of OEM front brake pads Stock 1.6l brake components available (Fronts are drilled/slotted, with high performance street pads) Stock 1.6l brackets, extra set of brake calipers

Safety Sparco Sprint seat with custom adjustable mounts (stock seat included) G-force 5 point belts, I think less than a year old (car was garaged most of its life) Hard dog hard core rollbar with harness bar

Aero Alumalite front splitter (detachable quickly) Lexan rear spoiler (8 position adjustable) Vortex Generators (roughly tuned for effectiveness, also removable) OEM Hardtop (no defroster), hard mounted Bumper cut for drag reduction

Materials and projects More alumalite, more coroplast, CA (glue) for coroplast, propane torch for various work, flat steel rods of various sizes, aluminum angles and rods of various sizes, my assortment of miata bolts, spare miata camber bolts, all of my stock parts, etc. Enough lexan for 2 more spoilers I have a trunk mounted airfoil I was working on that I never finished, I'll throw that in too along with the trunklid it is mounted on. I may have more stuff lying around I'll include that as well.

Misc Horn doesn't work No soft top I have a cruise control unit that I removed from the car that I will throw in.

How it drives: The car runs S2000 times at GIR road course. The car is probably capable of 57's at GIR. Thats S2000 speed. Though its strong point is lateral grip and transitions, the power is not too shabby either for a 1.6l miata. The acceleration of the car matches a 1.8l Miata.

The handling is neutral. The grip levels are high high high. Thanks to the medium rate springs I used the car's compliance is good and it is newbie friendly.

I would buy that! All the mods he's done seem like ones I've done or would do to my own car. As long as it isn't rusty, I'd buy it for sure. I think the price is really great too considering the parts used.

It would be an interesting race! We could go heads up at GIR.

Strange, I monitor the Gainesville CL (among others) and somehow I missed this ad. Sounds interesting.
