Are there any classic cruiser owners/lovers in the grassroots community, especially in the Tulsa/surrounding areas? if so would love to make contact.

I used to cruise a 57 Chevy 150 Handyman. Sold it a few years ago. I've got a 70 Chevelle at the house to work on now.

    Here's the wagon.

I have a '61 Bonneville, and I have cousins in the Tulsa area, but that's about as close as I get.

I had a 400ci '77 green on green Chrysler Newport sedan. It was adequate but had room for everyone I have ever met, and it got 12mpg no matter how many people were in it.

I do not miss it at all.

68' Fairlane. Some day it'll be a reliable cruiser. Still a work in progress.

At the moment, I have the fastest white four-door six cylinder automatic domestic sedan from the 1960's on my block, bar none.

I suppose it's a cruiser, but I prefer to think of it as a sports sedan in progress.

Thanks. It came from the factory with a 348hp tripower engine and a four speed manual transmission, so it's kind of fun to drive.

this is my dad's, but i drive it almost as much as he does (that is to say, not that much).
66 A-code v8 - been replaced by a Ford racing 302 crate motor, replaced the C4 with an AOD, edelbrock heads/intake, 9" rear, rar... uncommon factory a/c, power convertible car. originally was a pony package car, all the original interior is in storage along with the 289 and C4, so it can go back to a more-or-less original car if so desired.

it's in the DFW area though, so close, but still far from tulsa.

I'm the current caretaker of a 70 Wildcat Custom 455 I bought from a good friend. Other than replacement rubber parts etc. and a 2.25 exhaust upgrade it's still the way it was in 70 right down to the original paint, AM with 8 track, and strap on tach he installed. Long way from Tulsa though.

Hey, I have that exact same 8 track player. It was made by Automatic Radio, and I got it for Christmas in about 1975.

The front cover is solid metal, and it will take your kneecap off if you're not careful when you get in the car.

Pretty much everything I have is a Classic Cruiser. Starting with the Barracuda in my avatar.

I'm not anywhere near you, but my Daytona did come from Fort Worth, Texas if that counts.
