This one is getting out of my wheelhouse.

The wife's '08 WRX has developed a shifting issue. It refuses to engage reverse and will only engage the forward gears when I double clutch and push the pedal all the way down very hard. The clutch pedal seems very light and only seems to engage at the end, but I don't drive it every day. I also noticed that during the last 1/2 of travel there is a vibration that can be felt in the pedal. The car doen't creep forward with the pedal out and car in neutral.

I checked the clutch hydraulics and everything is dry, no air in the system, and slave cylinder travel is approx. 19mm.

    Thanks.

Between the light pedal, the vibration through your foot, and the poor disengagement, it almost sounds like a broken diaphragm spring in the pressure plate. If you really romp on it in third gear, does it slip?

+1 on the broken diaphragm spring thought.

It starts to slip between 3-3.5k, once the turbo has spooled up and the torque is really coming on. Below that it seems fine once it is in gear.

That sure does sound like the confirming blow. Shes clutch time.
