Awesome build porn

Very nice. Only things I would've done different are swap the overhead fogs for a single unarmored LED bar (for less high-mounted weight) and given it a bit more rear ride height.

That’s an incredible amount of work. Love that stuff!

The biggest shame is that they didn't just clearcoat the whole thing, painting it hid the most beautiful aspects. I'd take that over any modern supercar (and most hypers).

Wow surprise

I was going to comment along the lines of "why not use a cheaper second-hand vehicle as the base for building", but then it appears to be a build sponsored by GoPro, so money is obviously not a constraint. Must be a nice problem to have!

With the amount of money that went into that build, the initial cost of the vehicle wasn't even a huge factor...

All clearcoat would've looked badass, the problem is when you do that, the first sign you get of a scratch exposing your bare metal is rust forming.

That's absolutely bananas. I wish I could take a year off work and just spend time watching what goes on at Roadster Shop

I agree on the donor. Surely you can just order a cab and bed from a dealer for like $10k. That would take time though wereas an entire truck is sitting on a lot waiting to be bought.

If it's built by The Roadster Shop, you can just about guarantee that "money is not a constraint". They do amazing work, and they're well compensated for it.

What is the blue handle on the center console? Sticker says left and right.

Rear steer? Brake for only one side (can't remember the name, wiggle brake or something)?

It's the hydraulic handbrake for individual rear wheels, usually called a cutting brake. Rear steer levers are smaller than that (usually looks like a skinny little shift lever). This truck doesn't look like it has the rear fender clearance for rear steer either.

That thing is amazing! However, there was a "related" video of a 65 Mustang Fastback restomod that was probably more impressive in regards to fine detail.

One thing that caught my attention on the ColoRADo was some of the cross bracing under the cab was simple panels bent upward at about 30° and seems to have been left that way.

How is that not going to trap debris?
