I love going to the Pull-a-Part because the dollar admission is cheaper than most car shows and you almost always see cooler cars. Where else can you see a complete Isuzu Impulse Turbo, a rear drive Maxima wagon, Toyota Coronas, and an Opel GT all in one place? There are THREE rear drive Corrolas in there! Just arriving as I walked in was a 1986 M-B 190E 2.3-16! Totally complete including all the body panels except for the gauges I snagged. Its an autotragic, but with a manual and megasquirt that would be a sweet locost powerplant. If anyone is building a V6 TR-7 theres one that already has a Buick engine in the back corner. Its right next to an XT-6 turbo, and the 190 is right next to a Yugo. Lastly a message to the Volvo vultures-can't you leave some turbo parts for the rest of us?!?

I wish.. the pick-a-part yards near me do not keep any of the "good" cars where you can get to them. I pick apart several E30s.. but no E36s. NG900s(which I have) but no OG9-3s..
same goes for american and japanese, if it is even close to being a current model, you have to pay the yard to grab the specific parts you want, without being able to see the car

The pull-a-parts around Atlanta can have some cool cars, saw a perfect in tact starlet w/EFI and a manual inside, hadn't been touched, get XR4Tis all the time too, but for the really neat cars I go to UWrenchIt, they carry Cadillacs, MB, BMWs, Porsches, hell, there was an almost perfectly in tact 944 sitting in that yard for 6 months and the interrior was near perfect, someday I'm going to actually start stripping these kinds of cars just to have the parts laying around...

Google Pull-a-Part. They are all self service. To get really jealous check out the pricing page. You have to be quick to get the really good engines but damn there are some deals there.

Pull the head from the mercedes, it is worth $$$$. And yea, people spend the night outside the yard and get in fights over parts here (the vehicle in question was a late 90s CTD dodge).

XT-6 or XT-turbo. I don't think it could be both.
The pull a part type yards around here rarely have anything good. :(

It's nice to just walk around sometimes. E36 BMW's are starting to show up in my local yards.
I buy super nice used speakers for $6 (Infinity Reference rock in my Subaru).

I was at Pull A Part on friday. The GF and i raped an MX3 for nicer interior parts for the Escort. Most of it is plug and play. Replaced pretty much everything for about $35. WOOT!
Also scored a new driver's seat for the MX6 to replace my ripped up one.
Strange find of the day? A MKiii Supra with a 4.3 Vortech swapped in.

We have a local yard that is one of the last (in my area) to let people in and pull their own parts.
Luckily, the owner is a Porsche fanatic and on the other side of a big mound of dirt, there are several old 911s, about a dozen 944s, a 914 and a 928.
It's awesome!

We have or had a yard around here. The service shop is still in business, but a few years ago thew city limits expanded to encompass the location and I think eyesore law may have shut down the yard part. Walter's specialized in almost entirely European cars, you could find a small handful of Datsuns and Mazdas in one corner. I would have fun just looking around when I went to get parts for my SAAB. Rows of German goodness just sitting there. Half of them what they needed to get running again was probably on the cars next to them.

I pillaged some Saab parts from the Louisville PaP on Friday, soon after a trip up to southern IN to go to Kenny's. Both are great yards in their own way.

I go down to L-ville PAP about once a month. The Indy PAP has some decent saabs in it right now, too.

Oh, and If anyone in the Indy or Louisville area sees a MkI Scirocco, I need a right door badly. Go ahead and pull it, or just tell me where it is and I'll get it myself.

Kenny's is in Jeffersonville. You can get the exact address from www.kennysimports.com. Kenny seems like a pretty cool guy. I usually spend some time talking to him whenever I'm up there. It helps that we have some mutual friends, I guess. They have a '90 900SPG that he just bought at auction last week. Still has an almost complete SPG body kit on it. I just didn't have the energy (or the right tools) to get it off last week. Maybe I'll go back.
I'll keep an eye out for a 'rocco.

Some interesting stuff at the local PAP - 260z - straight body, auto, pretty complete, early 70s benz coupe (iirc 5 cyl), lots of e30s, a few big bimmers w/v8s, volvos w/turbos still in. 944, 914. Any motor is 150, any trans is 79, rear ends are 39. Got a 5.0 HO for my mgb on 1/2 price Wed. Gotta be on it though. Place opened at 8 - by 8.05 three or four people had been by to claim that motor.

Not much cool in our local pick-a-parts. There's one yard I go to that has a junked Volvo 1800 or Amazon (I'm not up to speed with vintage Volvos), and that's about it. Luckily, that yard also has three FC RX-7s, so parts are plentiful.

Closest one seems to be in Melbourne, KY.
Phone number is 1-800-221-3993, Reitman Auto Parts. It's a manual door, that's what i searched for. From a 1982.
