The last turbo muffler I bought didn't look like that.

    any pics installed?

i'm sure they dissected the muffler, ran the pipes inside it, welded it back up... just to be sneaky?

Neat. The flow doesn't seem like it would be too efficient going into the turbo... and I assume the middle of the muffler is blocked off so all the air is forced to go through the turbo. Maybe for a midengine? I guess rear turbos are popular with vettes too..

What are these gonna be installed on?

Anymore pics of them being built?

Amazing what people do with $50 wastegates and $100 turbos.

and yet another picture I will send to every turbocharger development guy I know...

    thanks.

I'm guessing a sneaky pete bottle wasn't sneaky enough??? aka dude wanted a sleeper.

btw.. innovative to say the least..

    edit one last thing...

I am worried about the vibration in the exhaust system exciting some weirdo nth modal motion in the shaft and wheel. While the frequency of the vibration should be the same as a "more rigid" manifold mount. You could have a situation where the exhaust system will amplify the motion, that is unless the system is mounted very rigidly.. Been too long since I had a rotor dynamics course, but I could model if you needed. I'm more of an applications than theory guy.. :-)

    More twin turbo goodness

Seems to work for these guys. I think I could fab up a system for a lot less $$.

Isn't that from the mustang where the dude cut the rear floor out to allow the turbos to sit up in the car? I hope he knows how hot a turbine gets...

i have never been a fan of the squires system. They work.. but i think they are not optimal. They will make boost though.

If my memory serves me right the squires setup has a seperate mount of the turbo to make sure it dosen't move around too much. If not.. I'm not sure about the longevity of the units. No testing.. just experienced guess...
