    That conversion has been done a number of times. The primary problem with it is that the half shafts have to be VERY short, which makes for some pretty wonky suspension geometry. It also doesn't help the handling any (unlike a Crown style mid-v8 conversion) since it becomes a pretty tail heavy car. I does allow for a rear set though.
