BTW - the '09 convention is in Jacksonville, FL. Are you folks going to have Margie's 'vair there for the show?

I have been running with the NECC (North East Corvair Council) even though I don't have a Corvair. I have a friend who has a highly modified Corvair, very fast. that is how I got started with them. I will be going to Summit Point in Oct. to run with them on the Shenandoah Track.

John Fitch was at Lime Rock with the Phoenix on Labor Day.

Corvair... Much better can than most would ever know. If not for Nader, the reputation of this car could have been very different. This is one of GM's best cars produced, ever.

There is a very interesting article about a V8 mid-engine conversion and dealing with it's suspension design in the September 2008 issue of Racecar Engineering. There is also an interesting article about current F1 car damper technology.

I love Corvairs. There is a little town in the middle of nowhere here that has these jewels.

My Corvair still sitting with a blown engine from Nelson Ledges, I'll be either running a Mini or a FIAT 500 (rear engine air cooled) with them in a couple of weeks... trying to get some of the local Mini guys to bring their rides out as well... still room and it's a lot of track time for $180.

That van is so a VW!

I mean, it corners with the inside rear up in the air, and it has an aircooled boxer behind the rear wheels.
