I miss my local dragstrip. Back in the 80's they would do a run whatcha brung night. I left the state for 4 years and when I came back there was a subdivide going in Wonder how thats working out for them in this housing market? Brobably could have made more $$ leaving the strip in.

had fun again, great seeing you guys out, my power steering pump took a huge dump on me. I knew I should have replaced that with the rack last summer!

You forgot to sign "2009 crooked drags champion" after your name. Who won?

I was 6-0, I think Tom and Greg were each 5-1. I would have loved to have run against Tom. I think it would have come down to whoever drove with the most restraint.

We did decide that the ultimate weapon wound be a Hong-style Honda. Big power, light weight and tidy size would rule there.

I keep telling my friend's that our challenge civic would be awesome out ther, it's just getting it out there!

I took out the PS pump last night on the T/A and it's def shot. YAY! At least I got a good work out on my last two runs!

Don't forget the 1/8th runs, I spun through that hole thing which kept that 328 in it for a whole 50 feet lol.

And damn you guys in your light weight Mazders! I've got a nice first person camera take from my buddies E36 M3, kind of like Cloverfield, it'll make you want to puke as it's not fixed.

That's got to be a lot og car to muscle around with no power steering. How hard of a fix is it? Those motors seem pretty well shoehorned in there.

Power steering pump is pretty accessible actually, I'm gonna go on FRRAX.com to see what those guys do for a reliable and well working PS pump. I've heard some of them have tricks up their sleeves for this type of thing.

DUH! Don' make us come down there!

What was the format? Was it an elimination-style thing where there was one supreme victor for the night?

Damn, i'm jealous! Being more of a hotrodder/dreamer than a racer, i've always loved autocross more for the chance to legally beat on my cars than to fit in a class and compete for the title. The Crooked Drags sounds perfect for me.

I should open one up here. Think this is a good economic climate to start a new business?
