I've seen several XBs autocross. Not pretty.
I like the Cube more than the new xb. I know a friend was looking at the xb because you could fit a motorcycle in the back of it w/o too much trouble... wonder if you can do it with the Cube?
They do get pretty good mileage for what they are.
Not flipping over is a good start. It should at least do as well as a Smart car as I believe it's essentially a Versa underneath.
@ProDarwin - I agree, if the only two cars in the world were the Cube and the xB, I'd pick the cube every time. The cube is ugly, but the xB is ugly AND boring at once.
@Feedyurhead - A buddy of mine showed up late to an autocross 2 years ago. His WRX had some issue, so he just brought his wife's Versa sedan (stock) for the hell of it. Since he missed the course walk, he asked me to ridealong with him and just point out the course on his first run.
He's a good autocrosser and drove the Versa "flatout" even on the first run not knowing the course. The car leaned so much I swore I could reach out the window and touch the ground. I have NO idea how it stayed upright. That 45 seconds was one of the scariest 45 seconds in my life, and I've done some crazy/stupid things over the years.
Cube? Quirky/funky/...somehow different.
xb? (2nd gen. as the following does NOT apply to 1st gen.) ODD/UGLY/no sense of style. Heck, they don't even offer it in colors that "pop"....unless you wait for one of the "special editions" and pay a ton of money for it. Looks like an "anti-car".

Thanks for the info, I am aware the Versa is tuned pretty soft. If I get a Cube and if I do autocross it will be more of a general test and tune type situation for fun. I have a Miata and RX7 for the "flatout" runs. Always good to hear personal experience though.
