    Everyone says they are cheap as chips and plentiful, but I can't find a d16y7 motor or just bottom end for $200 or less. I have found a good y8 bottom end, and would like to throw the y7 head on that and get this thing running. Any issues I should be aware of? Thanks,

    Slightly lower compression, and i don't remember if the Y7 and Y8 use the same timing belt. I think they do, though.

    But no, there SHOULDN'T be any major issues.

    Thanks! The lower compression will help when it comes to boost time!
