    Sooo... Ground Control coilover conversion kits average what... $400?

    Insanity!

    Someone out there must make sleeves and perches in a standard diameter

    and someone else out there must sell springs in various lengths and rates in said standard diameter!

    Well gee, George... where are they?

    I found a few circle track sites, but it's still not grassroots! http://www.stockcarproducts.com/afspg1.htm

    $30 x 4 for adjustable perches
    $57 x 4 for 12" long springs in your designated rate (too long anyway!)
    $120 + $228 = $348 still too much

    Anyone found any tricks out there for cheap suspension components?
    I don't really want to venture into the realm of ebay.

    I always use AAFCO coil over sleeves and perches. They changed their website about a year ago and now it's almost impossible to find what you want. Easiest is to find it on another site, get the part number, then go back to the AAFCO site and look up by part number. Wonder how much they paid some IT genius to screw up their website?

    For what it's worth, I greatly prefer GC's style of locking collar on their coilovers vs the double locking rings most other companies use.

    What's it for? The Koni sleeves/perches that fit over some of their shocks are pretty cheap (under $50 a corner), and I used them with great success on the Miata.

    A ton of places sell Eibach ERS, Hyperco, or AFCO springs in whatever diameter/length/rate you specify. Although I prefer getting them cheap off ebay or webforums from rich guys who buy 10 different rates to test and then unload the ones they don't use :).

    Yeah! I found an ebay seller that parts out used coilover springs. He puts them on a spring rate tester before sale. I bet if I bug him he'll put together a set for a good price.

    Koni sleeves/perches you say.. hmm.

    I've used both .. and the locking collar of the GC's is great .... as long as the position of the collar leaves the allen screw where you can get to it...

    Hint: Don't glue it in place and you can turn the SLEEVE instead of the collar to raise/lower the perch :).

    In my experience, the GC locking collar sucks. Oh, it locks just fine, but try to unlock an move it 6 months later.

    I find that lefthanderchassis.com and speedwaymotors.com usually have better selection, check their blowout/clearance or garage sale stuff for some deals. They have coilover springs in many lengths too. Supposedly Speedway Motors bought Afco so they have all the parts there as well.

    eBay stuff is working for me. I splurged and got the $90 OBX sleeves and springs kit for my Miata, but I've seen kits under $50 if you can find the right spring rates for your ride.

    anyone found an ebay coilover vendor that will sell different lengths and rates? All the ebay coilovers i've seen are just like
