I'm looking for a couple of useful gauges for the DSM - oil temperature and a more sensitive water temp gauge - and am looking at full-sweep electric gauges. There seems to be a bunch of cheap E36 M3 available or $150+ per gauge if you want electric with full sweep (which I do, much easier to install in the croweded engine bay + interior). However the SAGA gauges seem to be pretty decent for the price.

Another alternative would be STRI gauges, looks like the original X-Line is being discontinued and the ones I'd be after are being through out cheap.

Whats wrong with GReddy or A'PEXi gauges? Plenty of DSMs getting parted out, grab a pair of used ones for pennies on the dollar!

I have the electronic Stri boost gauge and it's a pretty nice piece. A BMW board found the X-Line mechanical boost gauge to be pretty accurate:

Unfortunately, it looks like prices on the Stri gauges jumped quite a bit since I bought mine 2 years ago, otherwise, I would have recommended Stri.

    In reply to 93gsxturbo:

Nothing wrong with either but it seems the ones in nice condition aren't quite pennies on the dollar yet. Probably because not a lot of people run extra oil temp gauges... Still, I'm keeping an eye out for DSM part-outs.

In reply to RexSeven: Yep, STRi is close to Defi stuff now and at that price point I'd rather have Defi. But the discontinued ones I found were close to SAGA gauges in price...
