I'm trying to find a downloadable repair manual for my 86 Camaro. So far I'm not having any success. Can someone direct me to a good source?

    Thanks

Google makes it to hard to not break copyright ... you can google anything put a space then .XXX for the extention like Grtechguy says.

If I need to learn something I search for "whatever .ppt" and find some where someone has posted a powerpoint of the topic.

I bet dollars to lugnuts that searching "camaro service manual .pdf" would strike gold.

When I want to uh.... legally acquire things I have a lot of success googling the name of what I am looking for, then Rapidshare or megaupload.

Such as "Legal uncopyrighted camaro servicemanual rapidshare"

The first few hits are always random spam places like "rapidshare library" that will return false hits no matter what you search, but down the page you will more then likely find a link to a forum were some one has been kind enough to post the file for download. So files on rapid share are removed after a period of inactivity, so you sometimes have to try a few times.... But with few exceptions I find what I am looking for quick enough.

My old local library lets you access service manuals, schematics, and TSBs online, just need a library card. Free and legal.

+1 on the library, mine has quite the selection of Haynes and some Chiltons.

Autozone's site also used to have diagrams for the replacement parts they sold, though it was somewhat light on the more in depth tech stuff.

Make sure your virus definitions, et cetera are up to date first.

A Repair Manuel? I don't know about downloading one, but if go to 7-11 at around 6am with a pickup you might "upload" one.
