    Ford Powershift

I think the statement, "even though many prefer the crisper acceleration, sportier performance and higher fuel economy traditionally offered by manual transmissions. Ford's PowerShift dual dry-clutch transmission delivers the convenience of an automatic with the fuel efficiency and fun-to-drive sporty feel of a manual gearbox."

Should get a flame war started...again.

Is this about cars or masturbating?

Either way I prefer a single dry clutch. Automatic is convenient but its just not involved enough to be exciting and a dual clutch causes me to excessively chafe.

I've now had the opportunity to spend some quality time in a 2011 Fiesta with the DCT. I really wish it had a way to manually control the gear selection, and also wish it had a gear indicator (as in 1-6, not just PRND).

I do like the car, though!

    Cool actual feed back,

Who here knows how to Mod Ford's ECU?

All manufacturers need to do is copy the DCT of the new V8 M3s.

I'm sold, it's a great transmission, way better than a manual.

    die hard manual guy here

I'm waiting for some aftermarket company to offer a manual selection kit for that tranny.

I don't understand why Ford doesn't offer flappy paddles and a gear indicator as an option in the first place.

So they have a DCT, but no way to manually control it? That's retarded.
